Настоящая статья посвящена оценке причинно-следственных взаимоотношений между такими метаболическими нарушениями, как ожирение и дефицит витамина D, каждое из которых представляет собой важную проблему современной медицины. Проведенное исследование продемонстрировало высокую коморбидность данных состояний и негативную роль избыточного количества жировой массы в развитии недостатка и дефицита витамина D. Полученные данные свидетельствуют о необходимости снижения массы тела более чем на 5% от исходного значения и использования больших доз колекальциферола у больных ожирением для лечения недостатка и дефицита витамина D.

This article discusses the cause-effect of the relationship between obesity and Vitamin D deficiency, both of them being very important medical conditions. The study results showed high comorbidity of these conditions and a negative effect of obesity on vitamin D deficiency development. According to the study results, obese patients need to lose more than 5% weigh and use large doses of cholecalciferol to prevent or treat vitamin D deficiency.
