Any conscious behavior of a person submits to volitional processes, which are carried out due to two interrelated functions: motivational and inhibitory. Complex volitional action is the most perfect form of human activity, requiring very much participation in it of thinking and attention. Willed personality qualities are the core of character. Willpower provides the formation of such positive traits of character, as dedication, perseverance and perseverance, initiative and independence, self-control and self-control. As a result of our directed study of persons with mild and moderate cognitive impairment (M.M.Shcherbakova, S.V.Kotov), we found complex changes in volitional qualities in the study group of patients. On the basis of the data obtained, on the basis of the neurological department of the M.F.Vladimirskiy Moscow Regional Research and Clinical Institute developed a rehabilitation program (speech therapist-psychologist M.M.Shcherbakova). The program was introduced into clinical practice and proved to be effective.
