Аннотация
Околощитовидные железы (ОЩЖ) и заболевания, связанные с изменением их функциональной активности, интенсивно изучаются с XIX в. Представления о фундаментальных основах кальций-фосфорного обмена, методах диагностики и вариантах лечения минеральных нарушений претерпели существенные изменения за последние десятилетия. Накопленные предшественниками знания и опыт в изучении анатомии, физиологии, морфологии, молекулярной биологии и генетики как нормальных, так и измененных ОЩЖ, а также внедрение инновационных методов лабораторной и инструментальной диагностики способствуют развитию указанной области эндокринологии. Современные достижения открыли новые возможности для оказания персонализированной помощи пациентам. В представленном нами историческом обзоре описаны подходы к минеральной и костной патологии, начиная с открытия ОЩЖ и заканчивая современными достижениями на примере одного эндокринологического центра.
