Erythema nodosum is a type of panniculitis. Very often the disease occurs in association with other disorders (autoimmune diseases, cancer, sarcoidosis and tuberculosis). The disease usually develops in young women. The nodules are commonly located in the front of the legs below the knees. The nodules are dense, tender, painful and warm. Erythema nodosum is characterized by bright red nodules under the skin. As the nodules age, they become bluish purple, similar to the color changes that occur in a resolving bruise. This article deals with the shot special literature rewire concerning this pathology and our own experience results.
