Lichen planus (LP) is a chronic inflammatory skin disease with characteristic clinical and histopathological manifestations. There are several clinical forms of the disease: oral LP, nails LP as well as linear, annular, atrophic, hypertrophic, inverse, eruptive, bullous, ulcerative, pigmented, vulvovaginal, actinic forms of LP. Clinical manifestations of skin lesions in patients with rare forms of LP may differ significantly from those in patients with classical forms of the disease leading to diagnostic difficulties. Learning LP clinical forms diversity is essential for disease well-timed recognition and for ensuring the optimal treatment tactics.
