Dyskeratosis follicularis (Darier's disease) is a rare hereditary genodermatosis which has a dominant autosomal inheritance with variable penetrance of the gene and is characterized by persistent rashes of hyperkeratotic papules mainly in the seborrheic areas, lesions of the nails and sometimes with rashes on the mucous membranes. Usually there is no change in the general habitus of a patient. This dermatosis is quite rare in a dermatovenerologist outpatient practice which often leads to its underdiagnosis.
Key words: dyskeratosis follicularis (Darier's disease), mutations in the ATP2A2 gene.
