In order to study normal anatomy of fetal brain of 19–21 w.g., using volume ultrasound, we analyzed the brain of 78 fetuses with gestational age from 18 weeks 5 days to 21 weeks 6 days. All cases had uncomplicated pregnancies. Different structures of the brain, that help to asses normal or pathological brain development at this gestational age, were measured (ventricles of brain, corpus callosum, cerebellum e.t.c.). The study proved the advantage of volume ultrasound in the research of fetal brain.
Key words: echography, hydrocephaly, fetal abnormalities.
