В данной статье освещены вопросы актуальности проблем контрацепции и выбора среди современных методов, контролирующих рождаемость. Также обсуждены вопросы механизма противозачаточного действия внутриматочных контрацептивов (ВМК) и эффективности данного вида контрацепции. Приведены рекомендации к назначению и использованию ВМК.

The article is addressed to the current questions of contraceptive problems and difficulties in preference from the different innovative contraceptive methods. Also are discussed questions about contraceptive action and efficacy of intrauterine devices (IUD) and are given recommendations regarding to the indications and usage of the method.
