This article deals with the problem of infectious diarrhea treatment in children. We described the indications for the application of antimicrobial drugs in case of intestinal bacterial infections. We analyzed the role of cephalosporins in the treatment of intestinal infections and advantages of cefixime application in pediatric practice.
