Children of Group 1 (born with fetus growth delay – FGD), Group 2 (born without FGD), and Group 3 (healthy) were observed at the ages of 3 and 6 months of life. Clinical examinations, electrocardiography and electrointervalography, doppler echocardiography were performed. Finding of the investigations revealed that at the age of 3 months of life in children of Group 1 sympathetic activity was lower (АМ0 42.51±9.25) than that in 2 and higher than that in 3. Hypersympathicotonia was accompanied by hypersympathicotonic (in 22.81%) and asympathicotonic (in 17.54%) vegetative reactivity (AS VR). In children of Group 1 mean value of pulse rate was comparable to that in 3, while pulse rate in 2 was lower than that of Group 1. Children of Group 1 (1.35±0.43 mm) had P-wave amplitude comparable to Group 2; mean values of PQ intervals in children of Groups 1 and 2 were not significantly different (0.09±0.02 s) but they were lower than those in 3. T-wave amplitudes were comparable as well in children of Groups 1 and 2 (2.34±0.96 mm in children of Group 1). However, amplitude of T-wave was higher in children of Group 1 and 2 than in 3 that is the evidence of disturbance of myocardial metabolism. Sympathetic activity decreased by the age of 6 months of life, АМ0 (38.95±11.82) was not significantly different in children of Groups 1 and 2. Hypersympathicotonia was accompanied by AS VR by 1.77 times more frequently in children of Group 1 than in 2. In children of Group 1 compared to Group 2 the amplitude of the P-wave (1.43±0.43 mm) was lower and partial blockade of the right branch of the bundle of His was registered by 1.49 times more frequently. Prolapse of the mitral valve was reported by 2.05 times more often. Inter-atrial communication functioned by 1.51 time more frequently. Fraction of shortening of the left ventricle (35.78±4.3%) and fraction of ejection (67.84±5.36%) were decreased. Stroke volume (10.89±2.96 ml) was decreased. Minute volume (1.5±0.38 l/min) was increased. Pulse rate (139.1±21.61 beats per minute) was increased. Degree of opening of the aortic valve (7.58±1.14 mm), and diameter of the pulmonary artery (8.98±0.96 mm) were decreased. Thus, no differences were established between children of Group 1 and 2 at the age of three months of life on assessing the state of the cardiovascular system based on certain parameters. However, deterioration was registered in children of Group 1 by the age of 6 months of life.
