Recently, the number of patients with food allergy has been steadily increasing. Because of the complexity of diagnosis and treatment of this condition, experts develop new, more effective and safe tests that prove the presence or absence of body reactions to a particular food product. Currently, experts in both our country and abroad recommend methods of objective diagnosis of food allergy with proven effectiveness. Among them – the study of specific IgE antibodies to food allergens by RAST, ImmunoCAP; Carrying out skin testing and provocative tests. The latter, unfortunately, are not certified in Russia. This article describes various versions of provocative tests that are used to diagnose food allergy abroad. It is noted that in our country experts recommend conducting diagnostic elimination diets and diagnostic introduction of the product, while in other countries provocative tests are applied: DBPCFC, SBFC and OFC.
Key words: food allergy, provocative tests, diagnostics.
