Аннотация
Большинство ревматических заболеваний характеризуется половым диморфизмом как в распространенности, так и особенностях клинического течения. Повышенная продукция провоспалительных цитокинов при воспалительных заболеваниях суставов может сопровождаться снижением уровня мужских половых гормонов, и наоборот, наличие гипогонадизма у мужчин увеличивает риск развития некоторых ревматических заболеваний. В обзоре представлены данные о взаимосвязи дефицита тестостерона и основных воспалительных заболеваний суставов, а также о влиянии тестостерон-заместительной терапии на их проявления.
